Do you need some new music to listen to? Each month, the writers of All Punked Up team up to share what we can’t stop playing on repeat. Whether the album is old or new, here is what we’ve been listening to and what we think you should check out!

Homesick (2009) – A Day to Remember

“Homesick by A Day To Remember is probably my favorite album by this band. This album is a blend of punk rock, hardcore, and a couple of other genres to create a unique sound. Songs like ‘The Downfall of Us All’ are filled with hard rock guitar melodies and vocals, while songs like ‘If It Means A Lot to You’ give the listener the image of lighting a flashlight in the audience. There is a track on this album for everybody. My personal favorite from this album has to be ‘I’m Made of Wax, Larry, What Are You Made Of?'” – Natalie

Sister Cities (2018) – The Wonder Years

“It’s almost unsurprising that I have had this album on repeat since its release. The Wonder Years has been such a major influence in the pop punk world. Their new album, Sister Cities, has added a new dimension to the band’s sound. The Wonder Years has proven to us their ability to growth with their music and develop as artists. Sister Cities’s core messages are also a major reason why this album has resonated with me lately. As a dominating factor in The Wonder Years music, I was pleased to see the band’s ability to develop such meaningful lyrics in a way that was able to mirror what was on my mind. As always, I am truly thankful the comfort this band provides and think Sister Cities is the album I have been waiting for.” – Alex

Pilot (2018) – Hot Mulligan

“This month I’ve had Pilot by Hot Mulligan on repeat. The album is addicting and show cases what the band is capable of. Each track has a familiar feeling without being repetitive, while the lyrics makes you feel connected to the songs in a relatable way. Do not sleep on this record–you will regret it.” – Tabitha

The Dream Walker (2014) – Angels & Airwaves

“Right now I’m rocking The Dream Walker album from Angels & Airwaves. With Tom DeLonge hopping back music and making it a priority has gotten me really excited, especially since he’s been missing from the music scene since he left Blink-182 in 2015. ‘Bullets in the Wind’ has been my jam, as I’ve been rocking to that with the windows down, letting the summer breeze take me away.” – John

Better Health (2018) – The Weekend Classic

“I discovered The Weekend Classic a few months ago because of my Spotify Discover Weekly. I don’t think it could have been better timing since only about a month later they released the brand new EP, Better Health. I remember hearing ‘Cut Me Off’ for the first time and being blown away with the incredibly mature composition of the song. ‘Mutual Interest’ is another one from the EP that makes me question how this band doesn’t have a bigger following. With a mix of pop punk and pure rock instrumentals and somewhat emo lyrics, The Weekend Classic brings something refreshing to the listener’s ear. I cannot wait to see them perform live at the end of this coming month.” – Jina
