Authentic Pines, a suburban-Chicago punk rock band have released their newest single, “Pineapple Boy” from their forthcoming EP Better Broken. The song was released this week on Spotify and Apple Music, which you can listen to below.

“The song is a ballad about a battle with addiction,” says Joel Smith, the lead vocalist of the band. Charlie Verdico, the lead guitarist stated, “Pineapple Boy to me combines the depravity of drug addiction and all that comes with it, with that cynical black humor to tell a story of what happens when you grow up too fast”.

Their EP is going to be released in the near future, so make sure to follow them on Twitter to keep up with the news and follow them on their journey.
