All Punked Up is thrilled to premiere “I Don’t Want to Be Here,” the latest single from NYC-based band, The Freaks! As the third single off of their debut record, Actual Reality, it is much darker and more angst-ridden than the previous two, while still maintaining the group’s signature catchy songwriting.

“I Don’t Want to Be Here” is reminiscent of tracks like Blink-182’s “Adam’s Song” and Taking Back Sunday’s “MakeDamnSure,” but it also creates a unique fresh sound of its own. With music based upon alternative rock from the late 90’s and early 00’s brought to life with a culturally relevant appeal and message, The Freaks are delivering powerful, heart-on-sleve anthems to a younger generation. Although the group clearly takes strong influence from artists like Green Day, Blink-182, and The Foo Fighters, they are no doubt inspired by the ethos and DIY attitude of today’s hip-hop rockstars like Migos, Lil Uzi Vert, xxxTentacion, Post Malone, and others, providing the groundwork for an evolution in rock music.
