Neck Deep Live At The Foundry

By October 1, 2016No Comments

Playing the main stages at Warped Tour 2015, opening for All Time Low, co-headlining with State Champs, playing larger venues and currently playing in support of Pierce The Veil on their The Made To Destroy Tour, it’s safe to say that U.K. band Neck Deep is a pretty big deal in the alternative music scene. So big that they put together a short headlining tour with a handful of shows at smaller venues. One of those shows included one at The Foundry Concert Club in Lakewood, Ohio on September 29th.

I, myself, spent most of the night repeatedly getting smashed into a wall, but it was totally worth it.

The Foundry is a tiny venue, and it’s almost unbelievable that a band that has gained as much momentum as Neck Deep would be playing there. Well, the turnout showed just that. The show was sold out and the crowd stretched out back towards the bar. Fans were lucky to even get a spot where they could get a good view of the stage.

Once the band finally hit the stage, chaos ensued. I, myself, spent most of the night repeatedly getting smashed into a wall, but it was totally worth it. The band played many of their hits; old tracks and fan favorites like “Lime St.,” which had the crowd dancing and singing along, and “What Did You Expect?” where fans could be seen crowd surfing their way on stage and jumping back in.

Other notable songs like “Serpents,” “Losing Teeth” and “Over And Over” gave fans the opportunity to head-banging along with rocking vibes each song gives off.

The band exudes energy from beginning to end. Interacting with the crowd, dancing along with their songs, jamming out with stage divers. They make you, the crowd, feel like you’re partying with them, not just watching them preform.

As the show came to an end with “Part Of Me,” “December (full-band)” and “Can’t Kick Up The Roots” the Neck Deep made it very clear that no matter how large they get, they’ll always make time to do small shows just like the one at The Foundry.
