Like most everyone else, I have my favorite go-to songs. But lately, I’ve found myself listening more and more to just those favorites. It’s as if I trapped myself in the inevitable musical fate where after a certain age you begin listening to the “oldies” of your generation.
The soundtrack to my days seem to be stuck in the year 2009. A mix of Yellowcard, New Found Glory, A Day To Remember and others just alike constantly cycle through on my Spotify.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the comfort of my classic pop punk. However, I am actively trying to climb my way out the deep rut I’ve dug myself into.
With that being said, I’ve comprised a list of new bands that have been helping in pulling me out of the 2000’s. Take a look below and maybe they’ll help you too if you find yourself in the same boat I’m in.
