Being stuck in quarantine, I, as I’m sure most of you are, have been listening to music new and old. Doing so, I’ve rediscovered some of my favorite albums that I haven’t listened to in a while. Here’s a list of some spectacular albums that I forgot about along the way. I absolutely recommend re-listening to these classics. If you haven’t heard of them – be sure to check them out!
5. Bowling for Soup – A Hangover You Don’t Deserve (2004)
This is by far one of my favorite albums that Bowling for Soup has ever released. It has some of the classic songs we all know and love like ‘1985’ and ‘Almost’ and some hidden gems that are fun and raunchy like A-hole and Next Ex-Girlfriend. If you haven’t listened to this album front to back in a while, I highly recommend you give it a chance to return!
4. La Dispute – Somewhere at the Bottom of the River Between Vega and Altair (2008)
If you’re into spoken word music, I’m sure this was an album that was on repeat for you when it was released. Even so, this is one that many people probably haven’t picked up in a while. Go listen to Track 1 – Such Small Hands ASAP to bring back that nostalgia.
3. My Chemical Romance – Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge (2004)
For me this album wasn’t forgotten per se just one I haven’t listened to all the way through in a while. With the My Chem return, I think it’s nice to pop this one on and listen to all the classics including Helena and I’m Not Okay (I Promise).
2. Pierce The Veil – Collide with The Sky (2012)
You know you all LOVED King for A Day when this album dropped. But I assure you, every song on this album is a gem. This is one to lay down in bed with and pop in both headphones to listen to front to back. A great re-discovery for me and I hope for you as well!
1. The Used – Lies for the Liars (2007)
With The Used dropping a new album, I thought it was a great idea to run through their discography while I’ve been stuck inside. When this album came on, I was instantly hit with memories of discovering pop-punk music. With The Bird and The Worm and Pretty Handsome Awkward on this track list, you’re in for a trip down memory lane.
