Furious Florida fans demanded A Day to Remember Florida shows after the announcement of the Degenerates Tour, which seemed to go to every major state except Florida. Neil Westfall, guitarist of A Day to Remember, leaked information about a Florida show happening over Thanksgiving break in a live stream on Twitch in August.
In early September, the band announced two homecoming shows to take place at the House of Blues in Orlando on November 26th and 27th. Within 30 minutes after public on-sale, both shows sold out. Fans begged for more shows and were willing to pay top dollar for a ticket.
Luckily, the boys added two MORE homecoming shows on November 29th and 30th at the House of Blues. Public on-sale of these tickets began at 10am on September 20th and both shows were sold out by 10:10am.
Clearly, A Day to Remember’s home state missed them.
The House of Blues is a fun, intimate venue located in Disney Springs and houses approximately 2,500 guests a night. A Day to Remember will be playing to 10,000 Florida fans throughout the week of Thanksgiving. To put this in perspective, the average professional sports stadium houses 20,000 people. In less than an hour, A Day to Remember sold enough tickets to fill about half a stadium.
And people say punk is dead?
A Day to Remember shared their excitement over the sold-out dates on social media.
The band’s new album titled You’re Welcome will release on November 15th.
Be sure to check out A Day to Remember’s new single “Degenerates” and catch them on tour this fall.
