A look into Moose Blood’s ‘Blush’ – Review

By May 17, 2020No Comments

Early August of 2016 Moose Blood released their second studio album, Blush. Much like their first album I’ll Keep You In Mind From Time To Time, Blush is packed with back to back emo/punk melodic tunes. Opening up with the track “Pastel” you’re instantly hit with heavy power chords that fade into a fast pace emotional verse. From song to song you get raw emotional lyrics over very well crafted instrumentals that draw you in and leave you wanting more.

Moose Blood has always had a way to make an album composed of all types of songs without changing the energy or basic vibe of an album and Blush is the best example of it. Through out the album you have faster up-beat songs like the single,  “Knuckles” along with slower and more broken down songs like “Shimmer” without any song feeling out of place.

After almost 4 years it is easy to say that Blush is still a very relevant album people will continue to enjoy for many years to come. It is easy to say that Blush is one of the best emo releases of the 2010’s along side both of their other studio albums, I’ll Keep You In Mind From Time to Time, and I Don’t Think I Can Do This Anymore.
