Everyone’s favorite pop-punk band, All Time Low is back with a new single, “Some Kind Of Disaster.”

After mercilessly teasing their fan base for weeks, although it was annoying, they still had us waiting up until midnight for the premiere on Jan. 21.

The song hooks listeners in as soon as the intro hits, simple, yet effective, close your eyes and take a deep breath, it’s as if this is exactly what you needed.

The familiarity of lead vocalist, Alex Gaskarth’s, voice exudes a feeling of warmth, singing words such as “and it’s all my fault that I’m still the one you want,” within the pre-chorus and “you gotta hurt sometimes to learn to heal/you gotta get back up and learn to deal,” throughout the second verse.

The lyrics reflects what All Time Low has grown into, making relatable statements of facing feelings, recognizing flaws and ultimately moving on.

The music is filled to the brim with smooth, ear pleasing transitions, combing their past sounds with refreshing maturity. “Some Kind Of Disaster” is the perfect comeback track, paired nicely with anticipation, making it well worth the wait.
