The LA-based rock trio, Beauty School Dropout, has just unveiled the music video for their latest single “dying to be you”, which has already gained traction among fans due to its explosive nature. The high-energy track includes footage from their recent, sold-out North American arena tour with Blink 182. This release, coinciding with Mental Health Awareness Month, marks the band’s second release this year, following the success of their earlier hit, “FREAK” (feat. jxdn). “dying to be you” deals with common mental health issues and the constant yearning to be someone or something else, expressing the band’s personal struggles through their music.
BSD’s latest music video release follows their successful North American arena tour with Blink-182 and Turnstile. This marks the start of an eventful summer season for the rock trio, with multiple sold-out shows and festivals across the US, including Lollapalooza. As the band also recently wrapped up their first UK tour supporting Maggie Lindemann, their international following continues to grow.
Talking to Fault Magazine about the blink-182 tour, the band says “The Blink tour was so surreal. Both Blink and Turnstile are quite literally our favorite bands ever. It was such an honor getting to know the two groups. It was so cool to see Blink’s synergy on stage and how clearly happy everyone is that Tom is back and Mark is healed.”
