Bring Me The Horizon released their new single, “Parasite Eve” yesterday – written by the band during lockdown, amid the Coronavirus pandemic. Having initially pushed the release date because the theme of the song was too similar to the current state of the world, the band decided to embrace it.
This new track is a prime example of how you don’t need a state of the art recording studio to produce a track. The band have adapted to the current restrictions and it is totally seamless.
Annie Mac, BBC Radio 1 DJ, also featured the new single on her Future Sounds show as the ‘Hottest Record In The World.’
You can listen to “Parasite Eve” here and check out the music video below, directed by Oli Sykes himself. Each member of the band filmed their scenes separately, to adhere to social distancing regulations. Jordan Fish and Oli Sykes have also been recording a behind-the-scenes series for YouTube – giving us a window in to what they’ve been up to throughout lockdown.
