Cassadee Pope shares pop-punk version of “Wasting All These Tears”

Cassadee Pope has released the pop-punk version of her classic hit “Wasting All These Tears”. You can check it out below.

This song was originally released as a country single back in May 2013 after Cassadee’s win on Season 3 of The Voice. Before coming out on top of the singing competition reality show, Pope spent the previous few years as the frontwoman of the pop rock band Hey Monday.

We spoke with Cassadee Pope back in April 2023 as she was making her transition from country music back to her pop-punk roots. During that interview, co-host Tyler Winters brought up the fact that when preparing for the interview and re-listening to “Wasting All These Tears”, he could hear it as being a potential pop punk song and wondered if Pope was considering a re-imagined version of the tune. At the time, she didn’t want to reveal too much but stated: “I may or may not already be working on that (laughs). [But] yes, absolutely. I [just] don’t know the timeline.”
