Just in time for the upcoming Halloween season, the metal-core band Designer Disguise released their version of “Spooky Scary Skeletons,” originally performed by Andrew Gold, September 29 via InVogue Records. “Spooky Scary Skeletons” is a follow-up release to Designer Disguise’s fiery interpretation of iconic early 2000’s songs “Clarity,” “Sexy And I Know It” and “Move Bitch” and part of the upcoming compilation WOW That’s What I Call Metalcore, Vol. 1.
“Horror, fall, Halloween, and metal. We love all of these things and these things are inextricably linked. We decided we had to do a little metal version of Spooky Scary Skeletons to bring it all together. As huge horror and spooky season fans we felt adding some screams to this Halloween classic would give it some new life…. Or death. We had a ton of fun putting this version together, really leaning into our theatrical and death metal sides.”
– Lead vocalist, Jackson Bengtsson
