EXNATIONS release new single “John Hughes Movie Soundtrack”

Self-proclaimed sad-pop act EXNATIONS has released a brand new single from their forthcoming EP Pink Haze. Fans can check out the vibrant “John Hughes Movie Soundtrack” now on Spotify. “John Hughes Movie Soundtrack” is the second track to be released from Pink Haze and follows “Tether,” which was previously featured on EARMILK and All Things Go. Pre-orders for Pink Haze, which is set to be released on June 28^th, are available now at www.exnations.com.

“Is there anything that depicts American adolescence for babies of the 80s and 90s more wistfully than John Hughes movies? Since we started EXNATIONS, several friends and fans have told me our songs sound like something out of a John Hughes movie,” shares vocalist Sal Mastrocola. “So we decided to lean into that compliment. And to get even more meta with it – we spun a story of a protagonist longing for a past that never existed – hiding away in detention with the kids from the Breakfast Club and the lovebirds of Sixteen Candles when the real world beats her down.”

The band will be supporting their new EP with The Pink Haze Tour, presented by idobi Anthm. The summer run kicks off July 6^th in Cincinnati and will close out with a hometown album release show at Brooklyn’s Gold Sounds on July 13^th.
