Post-hardcore band, Featherweight opened for A Sense Of Purpose on Jan. 24 at The Foundry in Cleveland, OH.
The band opened their set with “All is Well,” a track with a soft and intriguing intro. The song progresses into a diverse sound, including an array of clean vocals that play-out nicely along deep screams.
“Silverback,” is a track that embodies dominance which transfers nicely in Featherweight’s stage presence. The song is fast paced highlighting their ability to create a clear new dynamic.
As the band’s set plays on “Rupture” introduces itself, emphasizing distinct melodies, drawing attention to energetic bass and a intense guitar solo on the outro.
In a daring move, the band played “Interlude (I Love It)” serene, being mostly vocal and guitar based, the song added a cinematic effect before launching into their next song.
“Lunacy” changed the tempo following the interlude, bringing in a stronger tempo while making swift transitions initiating a brief moment of submerging all listeners ears in stacked melodies.
Also included on the set list is single, “This is Heartbreak,” complete with forceful drums, and a authoritative tempo making it the perfect addition to the set.
Featherweight has a connecting onstage presence. Their energy is passionate and interactive, demanding attention while exuding a notable on stage chemistry.
