It is no secret that “Gucci” is quite different than your other recent works. What were some things that influenced your desire to switch up your sound for your upcoming project?

If you listen to past projects, especially over the last 5 years, every album has a completely different sound. I have always dabbled with Rock music but never took it all the way there in fear of losing my current fanbase that was built off rap. I simply chose to let go & just do what felt right. I got in the studio with the homies FigureItOut & This Modern on a random Sunday & the music just poured out of me more natural than anything I’ve ever made. We ended up making 17 songs over the course of 6 or 7 sessions.

What inspired you to name your next album Never Too Late?

It’s never too late to change. It’s never too late to grow. It’s never too late to start something new. I want everyone listening to realize they don’t have to live life in a box. You can literally do anything. It’s never too late.

What challenges have you faced while writing and recording the new album?

There literally hasn’t been any challenges as far as writing & recording goes.

What 5 words would you use to describe the musicality of Never Too Late?

Genre Bending Fun, Deep Love

Living up to the name Futuristic requires you to continue to think outside the box. How will you infuse your past music styles in the upcoming record to create something new?

So far this record has a little bit of everything. Punk, Rap, Alternative, R&B, Heavy & even a couple EDM breakdowns and a country bop that could potentially make the cut. I’m making music with no limits so whatever feels right to me is what will be on the record.

If you could label this new genre you are working to create, what would you name it and why?

I wouldn’t label it. I think others might call it “Urban Punk” but this is just raw expression, growth & freedom!

What are some musicians in the rap scene and in the pop-punk scene that have impacted your music over the years?

Rap – Will Smith, Busta Rhymes, Nelly, Ludacris, Eminem, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Childish Gambino, & Hopsin.
Rock – Blink 182, Sum 41, Good Charlotte,  Yellowcard, Bowling For Soup, The Fray, All American Rejects, Dance Gavin Dance, MGK, & Mod Sun.

If you could pick any 3 artists to tour with you after Never Too Late drops, who would you pick and why?

Yikes! 3 is super tough. Me & Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) have done a lot of shows together & always vibed so I would say him. Our Last Night cuz we used to hoop together on Warped Tour & Games We Play puts on a super dope show as well. Others would be blackbear, grandson, zero, Dropout Kingz, This Mordern, and The Color 8 Band.

Is there anything else you want to share with your fans or All Punked Up readers?

For anyone reading this, just know you can literally do anything & it’s never too late.
