LA based alt-rock artist and professional audio engineer Febian Perez, aka Glass Eye, dropped the first single and video for “Do You Adore?” The song will appear on his debut album SOMEWHERE, NOWHERE!
According to Febian:
“Do You Adore? was written following a tumultuous series of break ups, where I allowed myself to absorb the negative traits of one partner and pass it along to the next. It’s a song about the complications of toxic relationships and how easy it is to spread emotional putridity to another person.”
Febian’s passion for music sparked at the age of 11 when he began teaching himself how to play bass as a way to “cope with being a recluse”. Over the years he honored his artistic voice and became a multi-instrumentalist, proficient on bass, guitar, drums, keys, and vocals. He started gigging at just 16 years old and as an adult led a nomadic life following music wherever it took him.
In 2020, Perez took his talents to LA where he sought out a home where he could collaborate with like minded musicians. The transition inspired a new project that pulled from his eclectic artistic influences; from music icons like Nine Inch Nails, Tool, Nirvana, Radiohead, Queen, and Elton John to filmmakers like Tarkovsky and Kubrick. The creativity funneled into a rock and roll persona he adapted under the moniker of Glass Eye.
Assembling collaborates Riley Geare (ex-Unknown Mortal Orchestra), Jordan Richter, and Chad Van Dyke, Perez wrote and recorded what would come to be his debut as Glass Eye, the 8 track album SOMEWHERE, NOWHERE set to release June 10, 2021!
