Green Day has announced that they are set to release their new album, Saviors, on January 19 via Reprise and Warner. Serving as a follow-up to 2020’s Father of All…, the album kicks off with the brand new track, “The American Dream Is Killing Me.” Check out the zombie-themed music video for this song below.
As per a press release, “The American Dream Is Killing Me” stands as one of the last compositions birthed by Green Day for “Saviors.” Lead vocalist Billie Joe Armstrong shared, “As soon we cut it, we said, ‘OK, that’s going first.’”
Saviors took shape in both London and Los Angeles, under the skillful guidance of producer Rob Cavallo. His illustrious history with Green Day includes contributing to iconic albums like “Dookie,” “Insomniac,” “Nimrod,” “American Idiot,” and “Bullet in a Bible.”
