Halflives and YouTube stars First to Eleven team up to release a rock cover of “Kings & Queens” by top 40 pop sensation Ava Max. Vocalists Linda Battilani (Halflives) and Audra Miller (First to Eleven) add some more girl power to a song that has already established itself as an anthem for “the queens”.
The music video for the track was posted on YouTube and already counts close to 50k views. Watch here. Or check it out below:

Recorded remotely and mixed and mastered by Nick Scott (I See Stars, Asking Alexandria, Emmure, Attila…), the “Kings & Queens” cover was recorded as an answer to fan requests of having Halflives and First to Eleven collab on a song.
First to Eleven are not new to the art of turning pop anthems into rock songs, having already released hundreds of covers to close to a million subscribers on YouTube, gathering over 178 million views. While Halflives have been focusing more on original music, they successfully released a cover of My Chemical Romance’s “Welcome to the Black Parade” a few years ago that hit close to 1M views on YouTube and confirmed the band’s talent in reimagining popular songs in their own style.
Commenting on the collaboration, Halflives’ vocalist Linda Battilani says, “I was super excited by the song choice, I feel like it was the perfect pick. Covering a ‘girl power’ track as two female vocalists was super fitting and exciting. I had a lot of fun recording and filming my parts and collaborating with First to Eleven was a thrilling experience. They’ve been super welcoming and overall awesome to work with, I hope we can meet in person one day.”
