HipDot X My Chemical Romance makeup collaboration review

By January 13, 2021No Comments

The wait for my My Chemical Romance makeup set to arrive was a long one, but now that I have it in my possession and have tried a few looks with it, I’m ready to let you all know my thoughts!

HipDot x MCR makeup collaboration was honestly something I didn’t know I needed until it existed

This HipDot x MCR makeup collaboration was honestly something I didn’t know I needed until it existed. The buying process was nerve racking for me because of how much I anticipated it, but I was one of the lucky ones to be able to get the Limited Edition Collector’s Box. This box included a MCR themed eyeshadow palette, a double ended brush, a double ended eyeliner, and an exclusive pin.

Can give you the perfect MCR themed looks

Let’s start with the palette. I honestly love this product. The colors are perfect, the fallout is minimal, and the pigment is BRIGHT. This is the perfect little palette if you’re looking to recreate a Three Cheers Gerard makeup look. If you’re interested in traveling with makeup, this is perfect for that. It could easily fit in your purse, mini backpack, or on the go makeup bag. The stamp decals in the shadows are so cute and themed, and this is truly the only palette I’ve been using since it came.

The double ended brush is such a great addition to add to all your makeup brushes. It blends out products really well, and has the MCR logo branded right on it. This was kind of my emo dream back in middle school, and to have this super effective and awesome black makeup brush with red tips is now my go to for bold and dramatic eye looks.

The eyeliner was probably the most anticipated product in this box for me, and I couldn’t wait to try it. One end has a thin tip that is perfect for creating a sharp, thin winged look. On the other end is a thicker tip that deposits a nice thick line where you can create your perfect throwback emo look. For me, the eyeliner tips are a little stiff and don’t deposit the product as smoothly as I wanted, but that will definitely not stop me from using it. Overall it’s pretty good and can give you the perfect MCR themed looks.

As for the cute exclusive pin, what else could I ask for? The MCR stamp in the coffin design is so cute and fun. Right now it’s on my mini backpack, and I swear to protect this cute accessory with my whole life!
