InRetrospect release visualiser for new single – premiere

By July 22, 2021No Comments

InRetrospect, a metalcore/djent band hailing from Leeds, UK have shared a visualiser ahead of their new single, “My Last Breath” – dropping 23rd July.

The band takes shape as an inter-county quintet who wish to share their perspective on the insatiable existential conquest that is the modern world.  Designing sound that combats topics around the constant deterioration of mental health, pain & hardship in its more extreme form.  The band utilise the anger and rawness, not only in the studio but in their live shows to deliver a truly ground-shaking, thought-provoking performance.

“My Last Breath” showcases the band at its very darkest, both sonically and lyrically.  For fans of Heart Of A Coward, Killswitch Engage and Periphery; InRetrospect is a band to add to your playlists.

Speaking about “My Last Breath”, singer Nathan Biddles says “Bereavement, isolation and suffocation. “My Last Breath” is a plea to our audience and wider, encouraging the uprising against abusive behaviour, to take a stand against those who make day to day living unbearable.  Out-lining the manipulating behaviour in this track with the use of metaphorical drowning themes through-out, “My Last Breath” is a search party looking to reach out and connect with anyone suffering in these circumstances.

As a band we decided that this track didn’t need to be overly complicated, it’s carrying an important and crucial message in my vocals, so we harnessed the raw emotion behind the topic and made a conscious decision to write and design something power, cutting and sharp to accompany.  Limitations are something we aimed to avoid completely with this track and the result is a testimony to our writing process. My Last Breath is a beacon, a light in the dark, you’re not alone.”
