IRIS’s new hit “Crazy” may just be the new alternative, pop rock song we’ve been looking for an even better– it’s from a strong woman with a story to tell. With a swinging and slow vibe, IRIS fills you with love, lust, and all the feelings in between. The soul she pours into the music is fully felt by the power behind her vocals.
The song was featured recently on Netflix’s Santa Clarita Diet and has been picking up traction outside of the show, too. Producers Frank Ocean and John Legend both jumped to work on the song, pushing IRIS to the next level. While she still has a long way to go, IRIS definitely was able to set herself apart from the rest with this song.
IRIS has definitely made it on our “ones to watch” list, especially if she keeps releasing songs like this that could be compared the sounds of Lorde or Billie Eilish. We’re always looking for the next up and coming female artist and it seems like we’ve found her. As a singer-songwriter, IRIS takes ownership and command of her sound and pours it into the music we hear. Her originality and organic musing have intrigued me in a way not many artists do.
This sort of heart-wrenching tune could be what makes her big.
