Is Machine Gun Kelly misunderstood? I’ve often thought about this question and after listening to Machine Gun Kelly’s recent album ‘Mainstream Sellout’, I wonder if he was trying to tell us all something.
I was recently brought back on the High School Never Ends Podcast, and this time it was to discuss and review MGK’s latest album.
The overall consensus for me was I think MGK was completely vulnerable on this album. He talked about his past, his present, and all of the demons he fights with every single day. He’s dealing with a lot of mental health issues which he admits to on this album.
Now, I don’t think these are excuses for how he acts in the public eye or on social media, but I do think what I would assume is his honesty on this album, sheds a little light on who MGK is, as a human being.
Since the High School Never Ends Podcast released this episode, MGK has released a documentary that really confirmed my thoughts after doing a deep dive of this album. I’d really like to know what you guys think too, so tag us on our socials and let us know if after really digesting this album, does your opinion of MGK as a person change?
Please consider rating and reviewing this podcast. A solid rating can really help us reach more listeners just like you. As always, thanks for listening!
