Real Friends posted on Instagram today that they have “mutually parted ways with Dan Lambton.” Dan has been the lead singer of Real Friends since its founding in 2010.
All Punked Up has been trying to decipher the band’s recent and strange behavior on social media. In the last few months, the band sold out their entire merch store and deleted all posts on their social media accounts.
While the band is parting ways with Dan, it seems that Dave, Kyle, Eric, and Brian are continuing the Real Friends legacy. Check out the band’s announcement below, as well as Dan’s personal statement.

As of now, Dan will continue making music, as well as Real Friends. We are unsure, however, of how involved Dan will continue to be in the music industry.
We are heartbroken here at APU. What about you?
