Missyou releases “closetoyou” music video

By May 31, 2019No Comments

Alt-pop/rock band Missyou has released the video for “closetoyou“!
“closetoyou” was the final single off of the band’s debut EP, YourBody, which was released last month. The 6-track EP is available to listen to across streaming services now including SpotifyApple Music, and Soundcloud.
On the new EP, lead vocalist and the incredible mind behind Missyou, Blaise Beyhan shares, “A girl who I grew up with, who used to baby sit me and was part of the commune I grew up in, she was like a big sister to me, passed away a couple of months ago, I did not know what to say and the thing that kept coming to mind is to say we should not take each other for granted, that we need to keep our loved ones close, and that none of us are getting out alive. The video is an expression of loss of innocence, and an exercise of grief.”
The four-piece’s vision is to create music they can stand behind with an emphasis on storytelling, moving listeners through time. They believe every picture and sound they create is part of a larger story, and above all, in freedom of expression. The forthcoming EP brings Missyou’s vision to life through visceral melodies and heavy hitting lyrics.
