Paramore back in the studio

Paramore’s Hayley Williams has unveiled that the band is back in the studio this week, actively engaged in creating some new music. Their recent North American tour unfortunately needed to conclude prematurely due to Williams’ lung infection, causing the cancellation of the final four shows.

Recently, though, Paramore has graced us with glimpses of their studio sessions via Instagram, with Williams confirming on Discord that they are indeed working on fresh musical material, she says, “We’ve been off the road for a couple weeks now… mainly in LA. Thankfully got some down time but we put some work in too. It felt good to get back into a studio. More of that once we get home to Nashville.”

She goes on: “Zac Taylor and I just want to get back to making things. We’ve been craving that for a while now. Not only the creative process but the layer(s) of insulation that can come with the creative process.”

Discussing her recent illness, Williams reflected on her recovery and the relief of not experiencing constant coughing stating, “I can hardly believe I don’t cough all day and night anymore. My stomach is still fucked from 10 kinds of medication… I’m just happy to be resting more. Now that the bulk of our touring for the year is over, I’m hoping to dive head first into creating some better routines.”

Looking ahead, the band is set to embark on a new journey as a supporting act for Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ in the UK and Europe next May.
