Paramore releases stripped-back acoustic and electronic mix covers of Foo Fighters’ “My Hero”

By July 17, 2023No Comments

Paramore has released the stunning stripped-back acoustic cover, as well as an electronic mix cover, of Foo Fighters’ “My Hero” on streaming services. This version was originally recorded during the band’s Riot era for the soundtrack of Superman Returns. Following Hayley Williams’ recent performance with the Foo Fighters at Bonnaroo Festival, the track was finally made available online. You can watch that performance at the bottom of this article.

As for the covers, Hayley shared her excitement about the song on her Instagram Story, mentioning how Paramore fans used their influence to convince the band to release this nostalgic 2006 moment for streaming stating: “Not long after Bonnaroo, Paramore fans used their powers to convince us to get this lil 2006 moment up and streaming. We always did gush over the Foo Fighters but judging the electronic version/track 2, teenage Paramore were clearly on a The Postal Service kick too.”
