On October 6th, I was lucky enough to make it out to see Kennyhoopla at the Metro in Chicago. Over the last few years, Kenny has been an artist whose shows I refuse to miss whenever he is in the Illinois area. From seeing him at Riot Fest to smaller venues like Lincoln Hall and Subterranean, witnessing his growth as an artist has truly been an honor.
The second Kennyhoopla took the stage at the Metro, energy was immediately high. So much movement on stage, interaction with fans, and just an overall good time. Switching up the vibe every here and there with songs of different speeds and tones, the show really kept you captivated the whole time.
It’s always awesome to see an artist who genuinely enjoy what they do. With Kenny, it is so evident. My favorite part of the set is always when he gets into the crowd. He did NOT disappoint this time around, crowd surfing several times and even joining in the mosh pit with fans.
As if he hasn’t already started, this is an artist who is going to take off. If you get the chance, go see Kennyhoopla live. I promise you will not regret it and will absolutely have the time of your life. Please enjoy the photo series below, and be sure to check out Kennyhoopla if any shows come near you!
