On Sunday, October 17th, Thrice made their return to Concord Music Hall. With Touche Amore and Self Defense Family, this show was set after set filled with talent and energy.
The night started with Self Defense Family. If i’m being frank, I knew very little about this band and what they were all about. Fortunately for me, their set gave me an epic taste of this amazing emo/punk/rock band. This band was filled with talent, raw emotion, and unconventional sounds.
Touche Amore followed, and this was truly one of the most fun sets I have witnessed at a show in a long time. Everyone truly seemed to be enjoying themselves, audience members and performers alike. The energy was ecstatic, with mosh pits forming and lyrics shouted into the room. This is a band I’ve dabbled with listening to that, after seeing a full of set of theirs, may just make it to the top of my list.
Thrice then followed – the band everyone had been waiting for. In all seriousness, watching this set gave me full body chills. All the attendees of this concert became one with Thrice on stage. The bands emotions were truly authentic and filled with genuine happiness to be back on stage in Chicago. This set was one I do not see myself forgetting anytime soon. If anything, it had me anticipating the next time I could go to a Thrice show.
So – without further ado, please check out the photo series from this show. It was an honor to be able to attend this one and capture what I was feeling and seeing on camera.
