Samantha Scarlette returns with ‘Disintegration’ EP

By July 14, 2023No Comments

Soft grunge singer Samantha Scarlette, based in New York City, is making a comeback with a fresh single EP titled Disintegration.

With a blend of 90’s grunge and 00’s emo influences, Scarlette brings her own unique style of enjoyable pop rock. She released her debut EP “Into the Darkness” in 2011, produced by former Scary Kids Scaring Kids drummer Justin Salter. This was followed by another EP called “Violent Delights + Violent Ends” in 2014, which was produced by Finnish metal producer Hiili Hiilesmaa (known for his work with HIM and the 69 Eyes). After taking a break to host the paranormal radio show “Blackout with Samantha Scarlette” on idobi Radio from 2016 to 2019, as well as launching her own skateboard brand called Vapor Skateboard, Scarlette is ready to dive back into music.

Her latest offering is a 5-track EP single called Disintegration. This single EP includes three versions of the title track: “Disintegration (As Above Mix)”, “Disintegration (So Below Mix)”, and “Disintegration (As Above Instrumental Mix)”. These versions were produced by Brooklyn-based EDM producer Gost Effects. Additionally, the EP features two other tracks: “Disintegration (2018 Demo Version)” and “For Linsey”. The “As Above” mix is an energetic, electronic-infused pop rock song, while the “So Below” version is a slow, melancholic ballad with influences from 80s new wave. Keep an eye out for the release of the music videos around the 14th. Scarlette has revealed her plans to follow up Disintegration with a full-length album in 2024.
