Setlist Snobs: Songs I need to hear The Maine play at every concert

So I’m kind of a snob when it comes to setlists. I need my favorite bands to play my favorite songs at every show, or I get really upset. So this is me ranting about that! 

Here are five songs that I need The Maine to play at every concert. 

1. “How Do You Feel?” from Lovely Little Lonely (2017) 

This is my favorite song by The Maine, so obviously I’m a little biased (but this whole list is my opinion, so it’s all a little biased, isn’t it?). It just always gets the crowd ridiculously hyped. It’s really dynamic and high-energy, so “How Do You Feel?” deserves to be a staple of The Maine’s set. 

2. “Like We Did (Windows Down)” from Pioneer (2011) 

Pioneer is pretty universally slept on, so I think it should be represented at every The Maine concert via “Like We Did (Windows Down)” at least. I’m definitely up for more of the album being played, I just think that this song is the best fit for every show. It’s all about being young and enjoying the moment, and that’s what concerts are all about. 

3. “Right Girl” from Black & White (2010) 

“Right Girl” was the song that I first heard by The Maine, so it will always have a very special place in my heart. Plus, it can function as an acoustic part of the set or an energetic song depending on the rest of the setlist. It’s perfect. 

4. “Another Nights on Mars” from American Candy (2015) OR “We’ll All Be…” from Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop (2008) 

As long as one of these songs is on the setlist, I’m happy. They each feature gang vocals which make for great sing-along opportunities with the crowd. They both function as a wholesome part of the set, and they really bring the whole crowd together. 

5. “Black Butterflies & Deja Vu” from Lovely Little Lonely (2017) 

This song never fails at a concert for The Maine. I get chills every time. It has this beautiful dynamic between the high-energy verses and the slower choruses, and it has one of the best bridges in all of The Maine’s discography. I never get tired of hearing it, so I hope that The Maine never gets tired of playing it.
