New York-area-based pop-punk group Smooth Brain releases self-released their eagerly awaited new EP, Friendly Fire on June 23rd.
Vocalist Izzy Gunn shares her thoughts on the band’s new EP.
“This EP has themes of growth, friendship, love, hopelessness, and rage. It’s truly a testament to what I’ve gone through, and what I’ve currently been going through.”

To celebrate the release of their new EP, the five-piece band share the official music video for the coming-of-age track “On My Shoulder.”
Gunn sys about the personal yet relatable song:
“Growing up is hard, and I wrote ‘On My Shoulder’ almost to try to help wrap my own head around the idea.When you’re a kid all you want to do is grow up, but once you get there, you wish you were young again.”
