The hard-rock band, Spirit Leaves, shares their new single “Chaos Control” via InVogue Records November 10. Alongside the single’s release comes the release of the band’s new EP, To My Detriment. “Chaos Control” is the band’s follow-up release to their singles “Paradise In Ruin” and “Pulling Teeth.”
“”Chaos Control” is everything To My Detriment is from start to finish. It’s where we started when we wrote the first song and it’s also where we wanna push our sound going forward. “Chaos Control” follows the same message that’s spread out throughout the entirety of the EP. But, this is one that conceptually talks about the darker part of our heads and the toxicity going through it at the time of the story. It starts talking about being in love with the push/pull of the toxicity in our lives at the time. But, as the song progresses it’s a big wake-up call of “Wait, what are you doing? Wake up, get out of your head..” It’s trying to control the chaos that we’ve set out on and coming out of it with a much clearer head.”
– Lead Vocalist Brandon Waskiwicz
Along with the release of the “Chaos Control” Spirit Leaves released their first EP My Detriment. When talking about the EP the band states:
“It’s finally happening! We are so excited to unveil our first EP To My Detriment coming out on November 10th. This band was essentially put together from hearing the demos to some of these songs. The journey it took to get here has been one of struggle, happenstance, and luck to say the least. Now, we get to finally lay that part of our story to rest and share it with you!”
The band continued:
“From opening with the heaviest song to ending with what we call the prettiest one. It is a journey of self acceptance and discovery and we’re super excited for you guys to listen to To My Detriment in its entirety.”
To My Detriment Tracklist:
