The final chapter of Sum 41 has begun as the first single, “Landmines”, from the pop-punk side of their upcoming double album Heaven :x: Hell has arrived. And to accompany the new song, the band has shared its music video which you can check out above (premiering at 11AM CT today).
The forthcoming album has previously been reported to be the band’s last.
On the new track, frontman Deryck Whibley says: “When I wrote Landmines I had no intention of writing an old-school pop-punk song. It just came out really quickly and I knew right away that this song felt special to me.”
To say we’ve been waiting a long time for the upcoming double album would be an understatement. We even spoke with Sum 41 guitarist Dave Baksh about it back in April 2022. You can check out that interview below.
