By October 9, 2019No Comments

Television Supervision (TVSV) dropped their new single “Volcano” on September 26th with a music video that may move you to tears.

The music video shows the grief and frustration of a mom who is diagnosed with a terminal illness. The band collected photos from friends and fans to burn on the wooden panels in the background throughout the video. TVSV prides themselves on fan involvement and interaction and were excited to share this moment with them.

Check out the video below:

In an exclusive interview with APU, frontman Brett Zitzelberg discusses the meaning behind “Volcano.” He explains that life is like a volcano and can erupt at any time, based on his own personal experience with his aunt who was suddenly diagnosed with cancer.

Brett wrote the song from the perspective of the mother in the video. The song discusses the different stages of grief she faces, including self-reflection and regret. He hopes that fans will interpret the song in the way they need to cope with their own unexpected situations.

Although the band does not identify or create music as a Christian rock band, Brett explains the influence of faith in their music. He believes that “God tests you” and takes each unexpected situation as an opportunity to grow. He wants this song to comfort anyone from any belief cope with the disruptions in their life.

TVSV released 3 singles this year and will release their debut album Waldo in January.
