The Bash Festival Boise, Idaho review

By June 10, 2019No Comments

Summer time is a time that many people enjoy. Warmer weather, picnics, break from school, and music festivals with friends. We had the opportunity in Boise, Idaho to have the Bash Festival.

Three days prior to the festival there was talk The Bash was going to be canceled due to production issues. Luckily with 36 hours to get it ready, Revolution Concert House staff pulled it together to bring the outdoor festival indoors.

With the change of venues brought concerns on how the beer tastings would work due to the size of the venue and being moved indoors, but the Revolution staff set it up perfectly with plenty of room to walk around if you wanted.

Now for the music.

We had the pleasure of having the Darts, L7, Suicidal Tendencies, Pennywise and Rancid. We also had the pleasure of hearing local musicians play on stage acoustic sets during the tasting.

In my opinion, the best performances of the night were done by Pennywise and Rancid. Pennywise always puts on a good show; by the way they interact with the crowd to the way they sound live, they never disappoint.

As for Rancid, if you are looking for a band that sounds like they do on their albums live; they are the band to see. Sadly, due to the way spectators were acting (fighting, pushing, throwing beer, etc.) my friends and I left prior to Rancid finishing their set.

Overall, the festival was fun. It’s always nice to get out with a group of friends and listen to music, even if the experience wasn’t the greatest around.
