The end of an era: Kevin Lyman donates Vans Warped Tour equipment and instruments to schools in need

As much as we all hoped it was a hoax, summers at the Warped Tour have officially ended. Kevin Lyman has teamed up with High School Nation, a program that works to assist public school band programs, to donate the remaining Warped Tour equipment to music programs in need. High School Nation works to provide public schools with access to the latest technology for music, including recording software, midi keyboards, microphones, amps, and instruments.

Lyman displayed his gratitude and trust in the program on Twitter this week:

“I wanted to thank High School Nation for coming by with a box truck and picking up all the old band gear we had.  They will clean it up and distribute to schools in need.  I know some of you have reached out but this is a group that could take it and will find it a good home!”

High School Nation offers a unique way for students to pursue music and experiment with live recordings. Students at partner schools write, perform, record, mix, and produce their own sounds. This is an exciting alternative to the classic high school marching band.
