Colorado post-hardcore rockers Tigerwine just dropped their sophomore release Nothing Is For You via Tooth & Nail Records. You can check out their latest music right here on All Punked Up!
Tigerwine consists of Hayden Trobee, Steve Lichtenwalter, Shane Riley, and Sean McKnight, who formed the band in 2012. Nothing Is For You exams a culture’s ability to synthesize individualism. This record was created with specific intentions, unlike their previous impulsive tracks. Tigerwine spans genres creating music that indie rockers and metal fans can enjoy.

Tigerwine’s latest record showcases their maturity and diversity as a band.
The record consists of ten unique tracks that showcase Tigerwine’s skill and diversity as a band. “Anteroom” is the first song on the record and is the perfect way to open this rocking record. The lead pop-punk riff is tied with a metal bassline to give the song this heavy rock foundation. The song slows down in the verses and picks back up in the chorus. “Technicolor Yawn” has a more upbeat drum opening that gets me dancing a bit. Once again, Tigerwine shows master over the rock genre by combining pop-punk, rock, and metal elements to each song. “Salt” really slows things down, pulling out the raw emotions of Tigerwine’s rocking sound. “Complete” utilizes electronics to create a serene and almost cinematic track at the end of the album.
“Nothing is for You” is definitely my favorite track from this record. There is a reason the album was named after it, after all! This song encompasses everything that can be heard throughout the rest of the record.
It is important to note how unique the vocals are. In a scene so fast-paced and forward with vocals, Tigerwine’s singer utilizes his soft talents and explodes at the best moments in each song. The vocalist clearly has strong control over his vocals and has an incredible range.
