Tom DeLonge may have leaked a preview to a new song

Tom DeLonge has been pretty active lately while discussing his music. Over the past few weeks, Tom has posted recordings on instagram from his acoustic version of ‘We Don’t Need To Whisper’, which is Angels and Airwaves’ first album.

Tom recently posted a video on his Instagram of himself playing a song on his acoustic guitar, which isn’t the likes of the WDNTW album. After playing the video multiple times, it seems to fit in with the style of music Tom has proclaimed his new album ‘Strange Times’ will sound. it’s riffy, fast, and has a melody somewhat that Box Car Racer would make.

It’s a little rough, but Tom explains why in the caption.

I don't have a pick in my hand, it's just my fingernail.. it's a little difficult to find the pocket. I'm just trying to hear things as I play, basically just trying to find a "through line"… my problem is I play acoustic guitars like an electric guitar. I want these things to be louder so I tend to play them harder. And at the end of the day, an acoustic guitar is not supposed to be banged on the way I tend to bang on them; Causes issues with tuning…. and often bleeding fingers. #stillruffaroundtheedges. #StrangeTimesMusic
