6 U.K. bands you should be listening to right now

Lately, everywhere we turn there’s a new great U.K. band popping up on the scene. You’ll be at a show watching an awesome opener and yet again they’re from the U.K.. With that said, we think now would be the perfect time to check out some of these U.K. bands if you haven’t done so already.

6. The 1975

Originally from Wilmslow, Cheshire, England, The 1975 have done their fair share of touring around America. They’ve brought us two LP’s, The 1975 in 2013 and I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful yet So Unaware of It in 2016. They’ve also won and NME Award for “Worst Band” and an “Best Album” Q Award for I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful yet So Unaware of It. Record labels include: Interscope Records, Dirty Hit, Polydor Records and Vagrant Records.

5. You Me At Six

Originally the band is from Weybridge, Surrey, England and have been on American tours like Warped Tour in 2012 and The Spring Fever Tour with All Time Low and Pierce The Veil in 2013. They’ve released four full-length albums, Take Off Your Colours in 2008, Hold Me Down in 2010, Sinners Never Sleep in 2011, Cavalier Youth in 2014 and have recently been releasing singles for their next record, Night People, to be release on January 13, 2017. YMAS has won Kerrang! Awards for “Best British Band” in 2011, 2012 and 2014, “Best Track” with “Liquid Confidence” in 2010, “Fresh Start Fever” in 2014 and “Best Event” in 2010 for The Final Night Of Sin and All Time Low/You Me At Six Co-headline Tour in 2015, and in 2016 with The Ghost Inside Benefit Show (phew!). Record labels include: Epitaph Records, Virgin Records, Prospect Park, G-Unit Record and Slam Dunk Records.

4. Boston Manor

A newer band that can be found on Pure Noise Records, originally from Blackpool, North West, England. They’ve released two EP’s, Driftwood in 2014 and Saudade in 2015. They also released a full length album, Be Nothing, this year.

3. Moose Blood

Originally from Canterbury, Kent, England, are currently touring in support of The Wonder Years. They’ve released two full length albums, I’ll Keep You In Mind, From Time To Time in 2014 and Blush released in August of this year. Record labels include No Sleep Records and Hopeless Records.

2. Trash Boat

Originally  from St Albans, England and we’re still dying to see them play a tour here in America. They released two EPs, Look Alive in 2014 which was self-released and Brainwork released in 2015 via Hopeless Records. They’ve released one LP, Nothing I Write Can Change What You’ve Been Through, with Hopeless Records, and produced by Dan “Soupy” Campbell, lead vocalist of The Wonder Years and Aaron in Aaron West And The Roaring Twenties.

1. Neck Deep

You’ve most likely heard of Neck Deep by now. From their constant touring, opening for Real Friends in 2014, Warped Tour 2014 and 2015, opening for All Time Low in 2015, co-headlining with State Champs in early 2016, recently opening for Pierce The Veil on their Made To Destroy Tour and playing small headlining shows in between, they’ve been on our radar for quite some time. ND is originally from Wrexham, Wales, U.K.. They’ve released two EPs, Rain In July in 2012 via We Are Triumph and self-released A History Of Bad Decisions in 2013. They’ve also released two full length albums, Wishful Thinking in 2014 and Life’s Not Out To Get You in 2015 both released through Hopeless Records. They’ve won a Kerrang! Award for “Best British New Comer” in 2014 and an APMA for “Best Live Band” in 2016. They’re currently on Hopeless Records.
