Jake Bundrick, the drummer of Mayday Parade, has started a new solo project called Via Fiori. His first single “Call to Arms” is out now on all streaming platforms.
Earlier this week, Bundrick shared on Instagram that he has “been working so hard on some of these songs for years now” and expressed excitement at finally releasing his own music. In a comment to a fan, Bundrick explained that he is the musician performing everything on the recordings: drums, guitar, and singing.
“Call to Arms” showcases the best emo pop-punk elements, from the catchy riff and beats to the slow verses and emotional bridge. The pre-chorus builds beautifully into the chorus. Lyrically, the song is an emo anthem.
