By October 30, 2023No Comments

After taking a couple of weeks off from the mailer, here’s another newsletter for you. Truth is, things got busy over here, and I did not have the time to put a mailer together. That being said, you’ve now returned to your regularly scheduled programming. Let’s get to the news.

News you may have missed from last week

Some of the links below may be to publications other than All Punked Up.

ICYMI: Houston Calls’ ‘A Collection of Short Stories’ review w/ Tom Keiger (Part 1)This week, John and Tyler begin a special series as they go track-by-track and review Houston Calls’ debut album A Collection of Short Stories. But to do so, they bring on the guys from the High School Never Ends podcast, Steve and Chris. And to make this series even more special, Houston Calls frontman, Tom Keiger, listens in on our thoughts and then provides some interesting tidbits and stories about each track. But before we got to the reviews, we had some much needed questions needing answered by Tom. If you’re a Houston Calls fan, this is a series you DO NOT want to miss.

ICYMI: The chilling story of My Chemical Romance recording ‘The Black Parade’ in a haunted mansion

ICYMI: Is the real Avril Lavigne dead? Was she replaced by a lookalike? The conspiracy explained

blink-182 announce 2024 tour with Pierce The Veil.

Speaking of blink-182. The band’s new album One More Time debuts at No. 1 on Billboard 200. This marks the band’s third album to reach the top position. The newly released studio album amassed 125,000 equivalent album units in the United States for the week ending on Oct. 26, as reported by Luminate. The album’s success was significantly bolstered by traditional album sales. I love seeing this.

Also, blink-182 performed at a local Denny’s.

Tom DeLonge was interviewed by Polygon to talk about his first movie, blink-182’s new album, and a Bigfoot theory he has.

Green Day announce new album, drop new single “The American Dream Is Killing Me”. Green Day has announced that they are set to release their new album, Saviors, on January 19 via Reprise and Warner. Serving as a follow-up to 2020’s Father of All…, the album kicks off with the brand new track, “The American Dream Is Killing Me.”

Taylor Swift’s ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’ breaks two Spotify records. Upon the album’s release this week, she became the most-streamed artist in a single day in Spotify history AND 1989 (Taylor’s Version) became Spotify’s most-streamed album in a single day in 2023.

Rolling Stone interviewed Paramore’s Hayley Williams.

This is sure to raise some eyebrows. Spotify announced profit and millions more subscribers, but also royalty cuts to less popular tracks…

The Foo Fighters performed this week on SNL with Dave Grohl making some cameos.

New Found Glory has announced that their album Catalyst is now available to order on vinyl.
