What your favorite bands are up to while being stuck inside!

By April 1, 2020No Comments

My endless scrolling on all social media platforms the last few weeks have opened my eyes to how many cool and interactive activities you can do from home. This stands the same for so many of our favorite bands over socialization sites like Twitter and Instagram.

I have seen so many cool things to keep from the boredom, and I want to share them with all of you!

Heart Attack Man:

I saw one of my favorite twitter challenges I’ve seen in a long time. This came from the band Heart Attack Man, and the idea was nothing shy of amazing. What he proposed was for his fans to do an at home stage dive challenge. Dozens of fans were replying to this tweet with their creative ideas for stage diving at home, and in return Heart Attack Man’s (Eric) chose his favorite contestants as winners. Here’s the tweet that started it all below.

Scroll through the replies on this tweet or under the hashtag #HAMMYQUARANTINE to see some fun and original stage dive from home videos! Many have been retweeted on the Heart Attack Man twitter at @HeartAttackMane.

The Used:

The Used did something original for those of us who love to create. What they did was tell their fans on Instagram to create their own Heartwork tarot card based on their new album set for release April 24th titled “Heartwork”. They asked fans to document them creating their own tarot card and submit it using hashtag #Heartworktarot. Creators have until 5/1 to submit something fun and a few winners will get limited edition merch! The post on Instagram is here:

Bowling For Soup:

Bowling For Soup has been filling the itch of those needing to hear live music. Lead singer Jaret Reddick has been putting on live performances at Stageit.com. You can buy tickets to see these shows just like the real thing, but the best part is that the tickets are pay what you can! You can find the performance approaching next in this Instagram post.

Broadside:

Broadside gave their fans a chance to ask them ANYTHING you may want to know. Using the platform Reddit, Broadside went live and answered questions about their upcoming album, plans of hopefully going on upcoming tours, and everything in between. They made fans aware by posting on Twitter!

You can read all the questions fans asked and all the responses on their Reddit thread.

These are just a few ways the bands in our scene are interacting with their audience. Have you seen any ways bands have been involving their fans and having you engaged in any at home activities? Let us know!
