With Confidence frontman, Jayden Seeley, has recently announced the release of his debut solo single, “Day Job”. The exciting news comes a year after With Confidence announced their decision to part ways, with Jayden rejoining Hopeless Records for the release of his solo project.
“Day Job” is being described as a track with a sparkling alt-pop sound infused with a punchy vibe reminiscent of the 90s. Fans can now pre-order the single as it is set to be released on September 27th.
When discussing the inspiration behind the new track, Jayden Seeley shared his thoughts on how it resonates with his previous work with With Confidence. He expressed, “‘Day Job’ is a track that doesn’t take itself too seriously. On the last With Confidence album, I had a lot of fun writing songs like ‘What You Make It’ and ‘Big Cat Judgement Day’.”
He continued, “Like ‘Day Job’, both of those songs were kind of tongue in cheek, and it reminded me that we shouldn’t always be so serious when it comes to writing music. When you have fun during the process, the end result is usually the best. I believe that mindset has carried over into this solo project, and I am incredibly excited to continue exploring that feeling.”
