With independent venues at risk of closure, you can learn how to #SaveOurStages

By May 15, 2020No Comments

Our national entertainment industry has taken a hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. One of the biggest hits to the industry has been to our local independent venues which are now at risk of closures for good. Venues were the first to close, and they will also be the last to open.

Independent venues are critical to our local economies. They are tourist destinations, as well as revenue generators for neighboring businesses such as restaurants, hotels, and retail shops. Our local venues are in need of support in order to stay open to keep us entertained and stimulate the local economies.

Save Our Stages is an initiative that was started by the National Independent Venue Association. The overall goal of the initiative is to help save our local independent venues.

Bands such as, Angels and Airwaves, are even speaking out about their support on the #saveourstages initiative.

What can we do to help? Make sure your voice is heard by reaching out to your representatives: call, email, or go to the Save Our Stages site. Share with them importance of the venues and why important it’s is for the venues to receive support as well.

Together we can make a difference and help protect the things we love and support.
