UK-base punk band, Wolf Culture, released their sophomore EP, Dying in The Living Room, on July 31, 2020, via Common Ground Collective. The EP can be simply described as having a heartfelt storyline that shows a snapshot of where the band plans on going in the future. Their plan can be found through each of their songs and all their strengths start to show. Lead Vocalist, Max Dervan shared:
“This is an era of Wolf Culture that has been a long time coming.”
Not only does the EP feature the band’s charm, creativity, and strength; it also features Sleeping with Sirens’ Kellin Quinn and contains tracks co-written by Alex Adam of ROAM.

While listening to this album you are finding yourself in the reality of the world around us. We start out with a very mellow song, “floods”, to more upbeat music the rest of the album. Wolf Culture does well tying in important real life topics, such as mental health struggles, in such a delicate and beautiful way. Each of the songs have deep lyrics that you cannot help but feel the lyrics in your soul. One song that stood out the most was “nervous.” “nervous” gives us the gentle reminder of “You and I are much the same,” which in this day and time is a reminder we all need.
I found Dying In The Living Room to be an EP that you can have on repeat all day and not get sick of it. If you haven’t already had the chance to listen to I highly recommend it. I cannot wait to see what other surprises and future plans Wolf Culture has in store.
