Year Of The Rat Records sign UK based punk band, The Young Hearts. The band is set to release the follow up to their hit single, “Fool’s Gold” tomorrow. The new single “London” is out on all streaming platforms on 17th July 2020. The band has become the first signing to the new UK based record label Year Of The Rat Records. The track is out with a full music video hosted by Dreambound, and showcases the band at their very best.
Speaking of signing to YOTR Records, singer Craig Lawrence said, “We are incredibly pleased to join the YOTR roster and have them alongside us for this next chapter of The Young Hearts. They have shown great belief in our band and our music and we can’t wait to see what the future holds.”
Owner of YOTR Records, James Illsley said, “I have been working with The Young Hearts for a few years now as a manager at Saviour Management, so it was only fitting bring the band in as our first signing to the label. The band are going to be releasing some huge singles over the next 6 months or so and we are all really excited to sink our teeth into this release cycle.”
Single, “London” is directly based on singer, Craig’s previous experiences – he explains, “I’d just moved to Brighton for University, completely out of my comfort zone and alone. I’d got the train to a show in London, got drunk and missed my return journey back. I spent the night, roaming the streets, trying to kill the time, and talking to complete strangers who were in a similar situation. It gave me a new perspective on things, and helped me realise that things are a lot less frightening when you get up close.”
The band have a busy touring schedule going into 2021 and look forward to doing what they do best; playing shows up and down the UK.
