As reported by TMZ, a devoted fan of blink-182’s drummer, Travis Barker, went to extreme lengths to try and meet him on Friday, April 21. The woman made repeated attempts to access Barker’s gated community in Los Angeles, but was turned away each time. On her fifth try, she reportedly drove her car through the security gate.
Sources close to Barker told TMZ that the woman believed she had been communicating with Barker on social media and had been encouraged to come and visit him. However, it turned out that she had been interacting with an imposter, and her actions ultimately landed her in trouble.
Barker was not at home during the incident, having been rehearsing with blink-182 for their upcoming headline performance at Coachella. His security team was able to intercept the woman and hold her until the police arrived. She has since been arrested and booked for trespassing.
Despite the frightening incident, no one was injured. Barker plans to get a restraining order against the woman.
