Album Review: Belmont’s latest EP “Reflections”

By March 13, 2020No Comments

Belmont dropped their latest album Reflections today on all streaming platforms.

Check out the music video for their latest single “Hideout” below!

Belmont definitely took several risks with Reflections, and without a doubt, taking risks will pay off. The band uses electronic sounds and voiceovers throughout the opening track “By My Side.” While it may catch Belmont’s fans off guard, the song is a banger. There are still soft screams in the background to keep that iconic pop-punk sound. The first track transitions well to the next song “Deadweight” which also utilizes electronic sounds within epic riffs. Throughout the record, fans hear powerful pop-punk riffs with added flare, making the riffs distinctly Belmont’s. The EP is also backed by a ton of emotion: I’ve never related to a song as much as I relate to “Hideout.” The song reminds me to not just hold on but move forward and conquer. Kudos to Belmont for creating a song that can motivate fans to pull out of the rut they may be stuck in.

The band incorporates the new elements to their current sound seamlessly, inviting current fans to stay and many new fans to join the Belmont train. While the EP is only 19 minutes long, it will be the best 19 minutes of your life. Be sure to give the album a listen on Spotify!

Don’t forget to keep up with Belmont on Instagram and Twitter.
