From the first moment you listen to this track, there’s no denying that it’s catchy.  It’s likely after a few listens you’ll be singing along and dreaming about hearing it live, because the energy it emanates is awesome.  “Picture Perfect” is a welcomed step up from Passionflower’s 2019 single, “Cheer Up Charlie” – a great showcase of his progression and a taster for what’s to come in his debut album.

“Picture Perfect” is dynamic and Passionflower’s vocals pair perfectly with the guitar, making it a joy to listen to.  The track is stereotypically pop punk/emo, but in the best way.  The age-old story of trying to get someone to see themselves, the way you see them, with a side of unrequited love.  Passionflower delivers it well and we particularly love the “heavy” element in the outro – the screaming actually offers up a contrast to the “pop punk” vocal.  If anything, it further conveys the emotion behind the song.

Talking about the inspiration for the single, Passionflower said, “Picture perfect came about in such a peculiar way, I was dreaming about some girl I’ve had feelings for, for the longest time and the song was in the background and I remember just jumping up grabbing my guitar and just writing it. It’s about this person who is just so unbelievably beautiful inside and outs but just doesn’t see their worth and by extension doesn’t see your worth and you’re just trying to get them to acknowledge themselves and you. You’re just trying to show them what real love can be and what true happiness can feel like.”

“Picture Perfect” is the pop punk anthem you need in your summer playlist.  It drops tomorrow, in the meantime, you can pre-save the single here!  We can’t wait to hear what Passionflower does next.
